Portuguese Egg Tart Puff Pastry
Are you drooling yet? Well, you're about to be. Here's how to make it:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 large egg
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a muffin tin with 6 paper liners.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the puff pastry out to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut out 6 circles to fit the muffin tin.
Place a pastry circle into each prepared muffin cup. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients until well combined. Pour the mixture into each pastry cup until almost full.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is set.
Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes before removing from muffin tin.
Serve warm or chilled.
